These college kids built the "Disney FastPass for Bars" worth tens of millions.
The last technology bars adopted was accepting credit cards....
That was until they launched LineLeap and digitized American nightlife.
500,000 users later.
Nick Becker, Patrick Skelly, and Max Schauff were starry-eyed college students.
They wanted to solve a problem on campus through entrepreneurship.
College kids do a few things: they eat, study, go to sports games, and party.
So they investigated the latter.
After having conversations with bar-owners at UMich...
The co-founders realized a glaring opportunity.
The bars were using 0 technology.
So the guys came in with a pitch.
The best bars have long lines.
Owners could increase revenue by charging for "line-skip" passes on the busiest nights!
After driving in their Toyota Camry to 2,000 bars in an entire summer...
The co-founders didn't convince a single one.
But it only takes one person to take a chance on you.
Three days before they returned to college, a callback came from the owner of Champs, Penn State's most popping watering hole.
Having secured the blue-chip of college bars as client 1, the boys were able to prove their model.
Today, LineLeap serves hundreds of bars across dozens of American cities.
It's more a mobile payments startup than a "line-skipping" company now.
LineLeap has expanded to process cover, run marketing campaigns, and let people order drinks on their phone.
500,000 people have the mobile app.
It's safe to say they've digitized the nightlife industry and they're only just getting started.

I’m excited to share that @known_med has been acquired by Pathos AI.
@KR_Skelly and I founded KM in 2020 with a simple mission: improve the lives of cancer patients.
The integration of KM into Pathos allows us to do exactly that, but faster.

2 years ago @KR_Skelly and I submitted our @ycombinator application for @known_med, just two days after I defended my PhD and the US shut down for COVID.
2 years feels like no time and a lifetime - grateful everyday I took the leap and with Katie-Rose.
