The latest issue of the @apsrjournal includes a paper coauthored by our faculty member @emmylindstam.
The paper explores how inclusive historical representations can increase the perceived centrality and entitlement to lead of marginalized group members: https://t.co/Vo0ts9pkh6
New from @Nicholas_Haas_1 & @emmylindstam: In India, inclusive historical narratives embedded in govt textbooks increase Muslim participants’ perceived centrality and entitlement, desire to lead, and demand for real-world Muslim leaders https://t.co/KQwCPVRUPP
🚨How should we design surveys to capture opinion in fast-changing contexts or within hard-to-reach communities? 🚨
My paper, conditionally accepted at @PolAnalysis, develops a method that leverages LLMs and adaptive algorithms to construct surveys that evolve with user input.

Yesterday, I presented my first poster on my ongoing research on the nationalization of party systems in Europe at the Madrid Empirical Social Sciences (MESS) Inaugural Workshop. Thx for this opportunity and congrats to @IPP_CSIC@IEpolisci@ic3jm for this wonderful initiative!
Super grateful for the diverse, growing and excellent Social Science community in Madrid… this MESS is coming to an end but if you’re around, don’t be stranger! More to come soon! @IPP_CSIC@IEpolisci@ic3jm
After the great panels yesterday we had an equally great poster session at the MESS conference, featuring Álvaro San Román del Pozuelo, Nadal Perales Oliver, Raúl Villegas Santana, Davide Rognini, Rubén Gonzálvez Salmerón, and Jair Alva Mendoza.
Today we just kickoff the first workshop of the Madrid Empirical Social Sciences (MESS) network at @uc3m Puerta de Toledo campus.
A joint effort with @IEpolisci & @ic3jm, featuring scholars from in & out of Madrid region, with various colleagues from @IPP_CSIC.
It's very exciting to be in the first workshop of the Madrid Empirical Social Sciences (MESS) network at the @uc3m, featuring many interesting and brilliant scholars.
This initiative brings together researchers from diverse institutions like @ic3jm, @IEpolisci, and @IPP_CSIC.
All set for the first MESS workshop, bringing together empirical social scientists working in Madrid!
In this thread we will be live tweeting some presentation today and tomorrow:
Madrid has an impressive ecosystem of social scientists doing exciting work.
That is reflected by list of participants in the MESS workshop that will take place tomorrow and Saturday, and which is co-organized by our faculty member @emmylindstam.
