MEN LISTEN
For the boy child, you don’t say I want you to go running, you say let’s go run.
You don’t say, I want you to cook, you say let’s cook.
You don’t say I want you to clean, you say let’s clean.
You don’t say wake up early, you say we shall wake up so early tomorrow.
It helps them appreciate that men or boys too can cook, can clean, can exercise, can lay beds, clean their toilets.
We can’t carry on like all is normal. If as lawyers we let off Lukwago’s abduction with a sigh, very soon we shall have no profession to profess. We all need to stand up and demand the unconditional release of our colleague. @ug_lawsociety Lawyering is not a crime.
@Tommujungujr@mkainerugaba People like you are so disgusting and inhumane!! You might this that such can never happen to you because you are so high and mighty but your actions will be rewarded.
@KagutaMuseveni Your excellency is this the Uganda you fought for ? One where we are ashamed and embarrassed to be Ugandans? One where arbitrary arrests and disappearances are the order of the day? What would the 36 year old you have to say about this? Would you be proud?
This country is in the literal pits!! Our priorities are WAY OFF!! For a sane person who has gone through this internship to even suggest such a thing is inhumane but to enact it is just heartless! Meanwhile the “big boys” are eating. @AloikinOpoloje@AgoraCFR@MinofHealthUG
Bin the bill🚮
The rights of women and the country at large are at risk! This is not a quest to protect the sovereignty of the people of Uganda, THIS IS CONTROL, IMPUNITY AND VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS!!! #binthebill#burnthebill#rejectthebill
This is not just a legal debate it is about your voice, your rights, and your future. When laws begin to silence civil society, restrict public debate, and criminalize dissent, it is the ordinary citizen who loses the most..
Fun fact: Anytime something bad happens in my life (am talking about life-altering or life-threatening situations) I normally get a word from God to fast before it actually happens.
I woke up this morning with one word on my heart: NEW.
Maybe because it’s a new day, new month, and God’s mercies are new every morning. My heart felt full of joy and gladness.
Think about it.
Picture something new:
The excitement.
The anticipation.
The big goofy smile on your face when you receive something new.
It is:
N — Never seen before.
Brand new. Never seen before. That’s the precious gift we are given every day. Imagine that.
What will you do with this never-seen-before day, week, month?
E — Empty.
An empty page. An open space.
Yours to fill.
Every minute, every moment, you get to infuse it with what you choose.
How will you use this empty page that a new day, a new week, a new month offers you?
May you choose wisely.
W — Wisdom.
Using something new calls for wisdom.
Wisdom to know right from wrong.
Wisdom to use what is new well.
Wisdom to choose life.
Wisdom to recognize the weight and the treasure of what is new.
Wisdom to maximize this moment that will echo into a lifetime.
May you receive this new day, new week, new month as the gift it is, and use it well.
Blessings. 🙏🏾
