Can the @lawsocietykenya urgently post the names of judges and courts we are boycotting on Wednesday. It is very important that members are given a comprehensive list so that they are guided accordingly. I think Council must go further and demand that judges sitting in court via court orders stopping their JurisPESA investigation can't sit in court to adjudicate over cases. I know this will permanently close courts like the Supreme Court of Kenya, but so be it. It's TRITE LAW that a JurisPESA judge under investigation doesn't have jurisdiction to hear cases under a sacred and solemn document like the 2010 constitution. @NelsonHavi @omwanza @FAITHODHIAMBO8

Yesterday's vote in Ol Kalou doesn't sugarcoat for President William Ruto the plain and transparent truth on the torturous road to 2027. It gives him a binary choice. Continue listening to the effusive and praiseful lullabies by Kiambu politicians whose support is in single digit and not beyond immediate family members, stick with Prof Kithure Kindiki and believe their false narrative that he will get 40% of the Mt. Kenya vote and know that a humiliating defeat is certain. Or act the political fox you always have been, pick a Luo or a Luhya runningmate(preferably the latter) and hit the read running. The choices are clear. And President Ruto must smell the coffee...by force.

A GOLDEN RULE of Kenya's presidential elections politics is that a running mate MUST bring with him or put on the table at least 2.5 million votes...from his tribesmen/women. William Ruto did it in 2012 and 2017. Gachagua did it in 2022. Prof Kithure Kindiki CAN'T do that in 2027. FACT!

Yesterday on behalf of a client we filed the first Marex tort claim in Kenya. We filed a suit for Kshs 5.7 billion (about US$ 45 million) against a leading commercial bank in the East African region. The Marex tort was developed by the English Supreme Court and states that where a third party gatecrashes into a suit between the parties at the stage of executing a decree and tries to help the judgment debtor delay or escape execution, the decree holder has a claim for damages againt the said gatecrasher. The Marex tort insulates the court decree againt "sponsored, mercenaries and robbers barons" hired by the judgment debtor to defeat the decree issued by court.

As Kileleshwa Estate, and indeed the entire Kileleshwa Ward, we join the family, friends, neighbours and colleagues of Dr Fred Mitema in mourning his untimely passing earlier this week.

Dr Mitema was not only a dear friend and respected member of our community, but also one of the finest medical professionals Kenya has produced. His service as a specialist in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery touched many lives, and his commitment to medicine, professionalism and humanity will remain a lasting legacy.

To his family, the Kandara Road community, the wider Kileleshwa family, his colleagues in the medical fraternity, and his former schoolmates and associates from Strathmore School, the University of Nairobi and the University of Pretoria, please accept our deepest condolences.

We mourn with you, we stand with you, and we pray that God grants Dr Mitema eternal rest and gives his family strength during this painful period.
