@ContestingW So we 1) are more involved in litigation in the US and 2) actually have more reason to sue but are still not in the top 4 countries (Germany, Israel, Sweden and Austria). US being lawsuit happy is likely propaganda: McDonald's coffee suit is a classic case.
@ContestingW Finally catching up on stuff. The US is not as absurdly litigious as we are assumed to be. Europe is actually just as litigious, if not more. We have that reputation because in the US we have to be more proactive in lawsuits.
@ContestingW Insurers and other agencies are responsible for litigation, and we are less likely to be insured. When we are insured those companies require us to do more legwork. And our lack of safety nets means individuals have to go through legal means to cover expenses.
