UK admits Russia and China prevented return of sanctions on Iran

🔹The UK's UN representative expressed regret that Russia and China blocked the reinstatement of Security Council sanctions on Iran after the snapback mechanism was triggered, stating: "We regret that Russia and China continue to obstruct the sanctions this Council should maintain."

🔹Russia's Vassily Nebenzia countered: "Resolution 2231 terminated previous Council resolutions on Iran. The snapback mechanism was not activated for multiple reasons our delegation has detailed repeatedly."
