No, no, fucking NO. You guys don't get it, and never get it. We're not hopping around like fucking Frogger from service to service, chasing all this shit, and then having prices jacked up on us. We're done. We're seriously re-evaluating our relationship to watching all of this. And THAT is NOT good for the ESPN's and FSR's of the world.
Mark it down. November 1st, 2025. The Day They Broke Sports Television.
For years, all these games of "chicken" between content owners and distributors, ended at the 11th hour. Now, it's Saturday in college football season and YouTubeTV - which I and millions of others have "bought into" being the new "bundled streaming fake cable" has dumped ESPN and all their shit.
YTTV is talking about "$20 credits" and nobody gives a shit about that. Give me 8 sports channels (4 network, 4 cable) and I'll take whatever games of importance you have on them.
The false paradise of having so much choice, doesn't mean shit to most of us. I'm not a degenerate who needs to see Delaware vs. Liberty (CBS Sports Network) or New Mexico vs. UNLV (Mountain West Network).
And I can speak for the rest of us: we aren't gonna buy 6 different streaming apps for all the shit we want. Especially not when the price keeps getting jacked up every year.
So good job, everybody. You broke it. Good luck figuring it out. I'll go clean the garage and listen to the radio.
