#ClimateChange predictions mean that our rivers will have lower volumes of warmer water in summer dry spells so ability of rivers to dilute and assimilate pollutants will be reduced.⚠️
Oh #LoughEske! I forgot how stunning this place is! Calm evening for a swim and a chance to check out plants - Elodea canadensis, Myriophyllum alterniflorum and Potamogeton perfoliatus noted #aquaticplants#Donegal 🌿🌱
Got a nice variety of flowers on the lawn thanks to leaving wild! Eyebright, Ragged Robin, Cuckoo Flower, White Clover plus many more (not all pictured here). However, hardly any pollinators despite the warm temps! 😔 😔#NoMowSummer#Donegal
Well that's a first for me! Found frogspawn in the gutters and on the house roof! I'm guessing a bird has eaten a few frogs up there but left behind the spawn..? 🤔 🐸

We are working with a farmer group to monitor water temperatures. On 19th Jul within an open section of the Bleng 25oC was recorded. Salmon & trout will find this stressful. Downstream within woodland the maximum was 20oC. Trees along rivers are vital to #keepriverscool
