@SarahWoods66 We went about 10 years ago and left early for exactly the reasons you have stated. We went to the Hampton Court show a month or so later. It was so much better. Not so crowded with plenty of space to walk around and a high marquee full of plants, bulbs and seeds to buy.
@AMAZlNGNATURE Iβve seen these beautiful snow leopard cubs at Big Cat Sanctury in Kent, England. Laila and Yarko have had 2 sets of twins and 6 cubs in total. Grown up now theyβve moved on as part of the European Endangered Species Programme. BCS is a wonderful peaceful Sanctury for Cats β€οΈ
@JamesLucasIT I took this journey back in 2008 with my sister. We were staying in Chur. The scenery was stunning and the views from the very large windows were amazing.

Letter from Crystal Palace supporter to UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin:
Dear Aleksander,
I am writing to respectfully request that UEFA reconsider any plans to demote Crystal Palace from the UEFA Europa League to the UEFA Europa Conference League.
My Dad and Grandad took me to my first Crystal Palace match in 1976 when I was four years old, and I fell in love with my team and football on that day. As a fan you hope that one day your team might actually be good, and as a Palace fan you dream of winning a cup and qualifying for a European competition. I thought we had qualified for the UEFA Cup in 1991 when Crystal Palace finished third in the First Division, but with one month to go before the end of the season in April 1991 UEFA's executive committee changed the rules mid-season and voted to allow Liverpool back into European competition from the 1991β92 season, two years earlier than initially foreseen. Heart break for the club, the players, and especially the fans.
After 34 more years of ups and downs, joy and pain, my club finally earned our qualification to the UEFA Europa League by beating Manchester City in the worldβs oldest and most prestigious domestic cup competition, the FA Cup. I hugged my near 80-year-old Dad, and we had tears in our eyes thinking of my late Grandad whilst celebrating our win.
We left Wembley and were looking forward to enjoying our first European adventure having qualified for the Europa League on merit, but our unbridled joy has been shattered by the inexplicable decision to expel us from the Europa League, due to what at best can be called an βadministrative errorβ around Multi Club Ownership. A demotion to the Conference League is an insult and Iβd rather we walk away from the competition as a matter of principle and to stand up for every football fan that have hopes and dreams dashed by bureaucracy.
Multi Club Ownership isnβt good for football, but UEFA have allowed it because you couldnβt walk away from the vast sums of money these owners bring to the game, basically greed. It was therefore inevitable that clubs from the same βgroupβ would qualify for the same competition, but rather than banning this, rules have been created by UEFA to allow these rich football groups to manipulate by creating βBlind Trustsβ or altering the ownership structure, which every sane person knows is just a sham. There have been plenty of opportunities for UEFA to stop this, yet you have chosen to make an example of Crystal Palace, rather than teams that are run and owned by a central group.
Crystal Palace have never been part of a Multi Club Ownership model as the voting rights at the club do now allow it. We are an independent club that represents the people of South London. The fact we have been caught up in a web that UEFA has spun to help the big groups maintain their participation is completely unfair -- especially on the basis of a so called ownership issue that you perceive exists, which doesnβt, but in any case will have been resolved at the kick-off of the competition. It is well known that John Textor has been frustrated by having no control at Crystal Palace.
Interestingly, the fourth of UEFAβs seven strategic priorities of βUnited for Successβ is to βWork together to the highest governance standardsβ. Olympic Lyonnais were relegated from Ligue 1 for financial irregularities. UEFA have given this βpremiumβ club with a rich history in European competition time to address its financial situation after the end of the season, yet for some reason UEFA is rigid on a 1st March deadline, and as such would prefer to shatter the dreams of every football fan and the players who supports a small club that achieves a βmiracleβ. As such, UEFA have chosen to reward the clubs with financial irregularities and poor governance over a club that is impeccably run and that has had sporting success and achievement for the first time in its history. Is this what βWork together to the highest governance standardsβ looks like for you? Unfortunately, this is why many fans are disillusioned with the modern game over which you have control in Europe.
In February 2024 you said "In developing our strategy for 2030, UEFA has, once again, reflected on its aspirations for the future of European football and the positive contribution that football can make to wider society. The result is a clear vision for ensuring the game continues to flourish throughout the continent, reaching and inspiring people of all generations and reinforcing positive values at every level of society." I have to inform you, Aleksander, that my 79-year-old father and I have never felt less inspired right now !!
I urge UEFA to uphold the principles of fairness and transparency by allowing Crystal Palace to compete in the tournament they rightfully qualified for. Crystal Palace's journey is a success story that deserves to be celebrated on a greater stage.
Please consider what you can do to review this matter.
Many thanks.
Graham
