@whimsfully She wrote on her website that she considered that for the Luca book she was planning, but Time to Shine was coming out. She thought the storyline would be too similar. Guess we’ll just have to be satisfied with the MANY fics where it happens!(Missed opportunity for Rachel, imho)

@thatisnotme28 @Veronicatrash13 My take on Hayden is that he was afraid that Ilya wasn’t serious about Shane, and that when Ilya “inevitably” dumped Shane, that Shane would be destroyed. I think he’s overprotective of Shane because of Ilya’s reputation rather than his sexuality.

@HollanovTears This is the one change the show made that I absolutely cannot get over. Not only was it two months in the book, but Ilya left it up to Shane to make the arrangements, and he booked a room in Ilya’s hotel! Shane was just as into it as Ilya from the beginning.
