Bowling Green deserves leaders who lift people up instead of leaving people out. That’s been my life’s work. And that’s why I’m running for mayor.
I moved here, fresh out of school, with my husband Michael 30 years ago. We decided to start our family here. My son Alex grew up in our city schools and I’ve taught generations of students as an educator at WKU. I’ve loved Bowling Green from the moment I set foot here.
Right now, our city is growing fast. But if we don’t start listening to our community, the people who live here will be left behind. More and more people already feel like they have been.
For over a decade, many of the politicians calling the shots in City Hall have ignored the people they’re supposed to represent: clamping down on your right to transparency. Enabling discrimination against people simply because of who they love. Listening to big real estate developers, but not neighborhood families.
Today, your right to offer public comment at City Hall is more restricted than it was just a few years ago. Something is broken — and it’s time we fixed it.
I’m running for this job with experience as a mom, an educator, an advocate, and a two-term state representative. When I represented Bowling Green in Frankfort, I worked with Gov. Beshear, Democrats, and Republicans on everything from lowering the cost of insulin and passing tornado recovery bills to delivering federal dollars for our veterans center and personally securing $3.5 million for our roads.
In thousands of conversations over the years, you’ve shared with me your hopes for Bowling Green. I’ll be rolling out plans and ideas over the coming weeks and months — but I also want to hear from you. What do you want Bowling Green’s next four years to look like?
Together, we can bring these hopes into reality. I’m not part of a good ol’ boys club, and I’m not in anyone’s pocket, but I do know people have the power. All we have to do is listen.
If you’re with us, support our campaign — we’re not taking a dime of corporate PAC money:

P.S. I’m deeply grateful to former Mayor Patsy Sloan (the first woman to lead our city as mayor) and former Mayor Elaine Walker for joining me today in support. These impressive women are trailblazers and it’s an honor to stand on their shoulders.
Always a blast at @mellowmattsmusic on Record Store Day! From live music to vinyl, this iconic local store is a great example of what makes Bowling Green small businesses special.
So excited to meet my favorite senator last weekend at her Nashville Town Hall! Thank you @ewarren for inspiring so many people and for reminding us to keep up the fight.
As Women's History Month ends, thankful for so the wonderful KY women who make history and teach it to others. It was a joy to appear on a panel at Daviess Co HS with two fabulous women, Judge Lisa Payne and Glenda Wright. Thanks to my former student Trina Riney for inviting us!
Cutting $1 billion in local farmer-produced meals hurt kids in need, local farmers and public schools. Government should exist to lift people up, not leaving people out; especially not the people who grow our food and the kids who need it most.

In KY, we celebrate strong women and their contributions. Proud to stand with @govandybeshear, @ltgovcoleman and the KY Commission on Women as we inducted Alberta Jones, Ada Limón, Amanda Matthews and Kim Michele Richardson into the Kentucky Women Remembered exhibit.
Patsy Sloan taught generations of students about government and citizenship. She shattered glass ceilings, elected as Bowling Green’s first woman Mayor. Teacher, mentor, leader, neighbor, and friend, rest in peace, Patsy 💚
On this bitterly cold day, I marched to honor Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy and attended a powerful service at State Street Baptist Church. As Dr King said, “True peace is not merely the absence of tension: it is the presence of justice.”
Due to the impending weather forecast leading into next week, a handful of local warming centers will be open to the public Monday, January 6 through Friday, January 10 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Free lunch will be served daily, alongside free snacks and free coffee.
So much to be thankful for this year, especially time spent with family baking our traditional pumpkin and chess pies 🥧
Wishing you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving!
It was a pleasure to listen to great conversation about her 30 year journey to write this book and to hear her make music with her family and @silasdhouse. Buy it now!
Spent a beautiful Friday night supporting my friend Tammy Oberhausen as she launched her first novel, THE EVOLUTION OF THE GOSPELETTES, at the Capitol.

My life’s work has been about lifting people up instead of leaving them behind.
That’s not just a promise, it’s a record I can stand behind.
Bowling Green is growing rapidly, and I’ll make sure everyone grows with it.
Because it’s about all of us.
As we head into Election Day, we want to give one last THANK YOU to our incredible team.
30,000 doors knocked, rain or shine, Team Patti carried our message all over Bowling Green.
We are so grateful and so proud to be a part of this movement with you.
