@ClownWorld It was terrible casting, and Nolan did it just to do it. No artistic reasoning, just “lol watch this”. Based on reports, though, it’s just something to stomach for a few minutes in an otherwise good movie.

The casting choices always will be stupid & definitely cost the movie $, but sounds like The Odyssey is classic Nolan otherwise. Good for him. He basically set out to prove he could make a good movie while making crazy alterations to the source material and did it. Not many can.
