“We need leaders not in love with money but in love with justice. Not in love with publicity but in love with humanity. Leaders who can subject their particular egos to the pressing urgencies of the great cause of freedom.” -Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
We need this now!
I voted for those who couldn't in the past and fought for me to have this right. I voted for those in future to always have this right and a way forward.
Vice President Harris: Let’s clear up something on those stimulus checks. The reason those went out was because there was a Democratic majority in the House who did the work to say people need help right now. Trump was opposed to giving help, and then he decided to put his name on them after Congress passed it

@LoesbyForIdaho@GoodVibePolitik No they didn't. There's Haitians of European descent. There's mixed Haitians. The Europeans who either switched sides during the revolution or didn't own slaves were spared. There's Europeans who immigrated to Haiti in the 1800s and after.
@ObsessObserv22@SerenaJB3@timjacobwise There's a population of Whites (different groups), Jewish, Chinese, Arab, mixed, and some who have Native ancestry. Even Black Haitians are mixed with different African tribes or the other groups. Also, there's nothing wrong with being African.
@SerenaJB3@timjacobwise Also, you might want to read up on what the French did to African population they enslaved in Haiti. Find out what happened to most of the Native Arawak population prior. Slave owners were targeted to ensure that slavery would never be reinstated in Haiti.
@SerenaJB3@timjacobwise Actually, this happened to mostly slave owners. There's a population of Haitians who are White or mixed. There's those with European ancestors who joined the enslaved Blacks against the French and were given land after independence i.e. the Polish.
@da_dapper@OliviaHoney11@MoeDimanche@blashipolito71@ProenzaColes Not wrong. Ayiti was the Arawak name for the entire island of "Hispaniola" and it means mountainous land. Other Tainos called it Quisqueya/Kiskeya or Bohio/Bohío. The name that is still used today for half of the island is Ayiti translated as Haïti.
@OliviaHoney11@Hughy1992@ProenzaColes There was no American identity until 1776 so the people who fought in the American Revolution were British so Americans today shouldn't claim them? Should all countries follow this rule?
