Just came across a lovely line in an opinion about the absence of authority for a novel proposition- “ Despite having traversed continents and centuries in search of support from authorities…..” .
Nobody from the Scottish Government able to speak to BBC News today.
Stage fright?
Or have even they finally been shamed into silence for letting Scotland record the worst Covid rates in Europe.
I’m really distressed at how as a nation we’ve made children sacrifice so much to protect adults and now we’re allowing the virus to spread uncontrollably among them. A virus only 18 months old. We have no idea of its longterm effects.
Absolutely agree. Once you vaccinate 99% of those at risk of death, the justification for such paternalism is hugely weakened. There are multiple risks in life. We can’t be protected from all of them. And ongoing restrictions carry their own serious harms.

@SCTScourtstribs has today provided an update on sheriff court business, including plans for the re-introduction of summary criminal business and a three stage approach for civil business

It would appear that commissary business is excluded from electronic submission proceedings. This is no doubt for good reason (ie verifying principal will etc) but is unlikely to fill private client lawyers with any hope that applications will be dealt with (at all) just now.
Scotland’s first purpose-built Justice Centre in #Inverness opens today. The Centre will operate as one of 10 key court hubs supporting the delivery of #justice during the #Coronavirus outbreak. https://t.co/suOJKtC93p
