The Sheriffs Principal have issued new guidance for court users on proceedings in the Sheriff Courts. The guidance will supersede and replace the guidance which was issued by the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service on 25 April 2022.

The Act of Sederunt (Sheriff Appeal Court Rules) 2021/468 will come in to force on Thursday 6 January 2022. It makes provision about the procedure to be followed in appeals to the Sheriff Appeal Court in civil proceedings. More info is available at
