Yesterday at around 1430Hrs, Wachira, 63, had withdrawn Ksh. 700,000 from Equity Bank-Kenol Branch shortly after he was ambushed on his way back home in Kimololi and the money stolen.

Wachira called his 25y/o son, Comfort Gift, to pick him up and take him home on his motorcycle.

While they were traveling home, their motorcycle was blocked by a Toyota Premio, 3 men emerged from the vehicle, armed with rungus and a knife, ordered the 2 to lie down and took Wachira's cash, punctured the Motorcycle front tyre and drove towards Kenol town.

Police officers visited the scene in Kimololi area and the bank as part of preliminary investigations where they established that Wachira had withdrawn the money from an open teller.

Detectives are continuing with the investigations to identify and apprehend the suspects.
