Completely unrealistic.
I didn’t end up having children earlier in life partly because, throughout my ten-year relationship, my partner was on the pill. Shortly before we broke up, she came off it. When she didn’t become pregnant, we went to the doctor and discovered that she had a nodule on her pituitary gland that prevented her from releasing a hormone necessary for conception.
After that, we broke up, and I eventually came into a considerable amount of money. At the time, I had been taking care of my brother and had effectively given up my own life for him—my flat, my job, everything—because my mother was renting with a bloke and wouldn’t move in to take care of him.
I had a massive row with my mother. I told her that her mortgage was not my responsibility, and neither was taking responsibility for her son. I then lost my job for no apparent reason and could no longer afford to keep paying, which I regarded as a kind of poetic justice. We had further arguments, and I told her that if she wanted to keep her house, she needed to pay her own mortgage.
Eventually, she sold the house and gave my brother and me a third each. I still don’t understand why she never simply moved back into her own house. To me, it defies logic.
By then I was single, and I had decided to stay that way. I travelled to Japan, Spain and London—including spending time in Tokyo—and spent roughly two years travelling and seeing the world on my own. During my travels, I developed serious mental health problems. When I returned, I was sectioned and subsequently put on long-term sickness benefits.
Then, about five years ago,I started calculating what raising a child and maintaining a household over decades could potentially cost.I included rent or a mortgage, gas, electricity, water, council tax, broadband, mobile phones, clothes, nappies, electronics, white goods, maintenance, repairs and replacements.I also included the cost of two cars:fuel at £2 a litre,MOTs, servicing, road tax, insurance, tyres, oil, spare parts, repairs, finance and eventual replacements.Projecting all of that across 35–40 years,my calculation came to approximately £5 million.
I then used calculators and online job listings to estimate what the overwhelming majority of people could realistically earn over a working lifetime My calculation came to roughly £1 million.Whether those particular estimates would apply to everybody or survive a more detailed financial analysis wasn’t really the point:they made me seriously question whether the conventional expectation of children, mortgages, cars, loans, credit cards and decades of financial commitments made any sense for my life.
I ultimately concluded that I did not want to become trapped in responsibilities I neither wanted nor believed I could realistically sustain. MParenthood also means accepting responsibility for another independent human being whose behaviour and future cannot be completely controlled or predicted.I realised that I was not willing to take on that responsibility, particularly if I ever reached a point where I felt trapped, desperate or unable to cope safely.
A mortgage can last 35 years, during which you remain dependent on maintaining enough income to make the payments or risk losing the property and potentially much of what you have invested in it.I’m 43 now and already beginning to feel the effects of age.I obviously don’t want to reach my sixties while still carrying responsibilities I deliberately chose decades earlier, particularly in an economy where many people are already struggling to support themselves.
So I have made my decision and structured my life around what I consider a realistic way of getting through it.I had a vasectomy around two years ago,and I have no intention of reversing it.I also continue to use contraception during sex despite having had the vasectomy.

Yeah. Attractive women when you're out and about kind of make your day. One of my old boss' said 'they dont mind if you look, as long as you don't touch.' I get away with openly looking and more often than not if they catch me, they just seem pleased that I'm basically saying they're attractive.
Most women I've met in real life take you for an idiot for it. I open the door. I dont do flowers because women think youre just asking a twat out of yourself. .. and I may be wrong but when two people get together in the UK, it's usually because its happened naturally, and we dont really do dating. Plus there's this Huge obstacle. Its one thing if you've just come out of school or work together and have been sharing a room for 10 year all of the time, but in the uk you need consent to flirt. Problem is you CANT ask for consent because that's sexual harassment. Therefore tou can't ask if someone feel like having sex because if the woman doesn't really want to do it with you, youre under arrest, and generally you can't say or do shit in any sense because anything and everything at any time could be seen as an unwanted attempt.
Just this second got paid £778.40. Been locked out of my mobile all day waiting for it to come in. Bought 5 Five Finger Death Punch CDs with my surplus for the 28 day period. Building up a huge VD collection hopefully. Its gonna be like vinal in collectors value but with a different sound. I mean who uses a CD player?
@AlfyYoung2@MontyDean1A4@shutemdown0 Never even smelt it in my city in the five years ive been going back and forth all day through thr centre of it. That's pretty weird if you ask me. Only time I've smelt it is when I've had it myself.
@daveseekersol@shutemdown0 Yeah there are fake versions of the site. I tracked down the authentic one somehow by going through the signal app link on thr fake site and complaining. Tried the site that they sent me the link to and got my bud. Twice. I'll send you thr link.
There's something magnificent about volcanic landscapes. 🌋🏔️ Mount Vsevidof is a reminder that some of Earth's most beautiful scenery was created by immensely powerful geological forces. The contrast between the mountain's peaceful appearance and the extraordinary energy capable of shaping it is fascinating. Nature doesn't need an artist's imagination to produce a masterpiece. 🌍📸
I agree that The Black Parade deserves enormous recognition, but Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is almost impossible to separate from it. One is a theatrical masterpiece; the other delivers raw emotion, aggression and unforgettable songwriting. Personally, I prefer My Chemical Romance at their darkest and heaviest. Danger Days has its moments, but their earlier albums capture an intensity that their later experimentation never quite replicated. 🖤🎸
The Bible condems Rape, Abuse and Equality Between Men and Women
The Bible contains powerful teachings about the equal worth of men and women, the condemnation of sexual violence, and the importance of love, justice and mutual respect.
Although some passages reflect the patriarchal societies in which they were written, many biblical teachings provide strong foundations for opposing cruelty, exploitation and discrimination.
1. Men and Women Are Created Equal in Human Worth
Genesis 1:27
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
Both men and women are created in God's image. Neither is presented as inherently more valuable than the other.
2. Men and Women Are Spiritually Equal
Galatians 3:28
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."
This teaches that gender, ethnicity and social standing do not determine someone's spiritual worth before God.
3. Rape Is Condemned
Deuteronomy 22:25
"But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die."
Deuteronomy 22:26
"But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death."
These verses recognise the victim's innocence and place responsibility upon the attacker. The passage specifically concerns an engaged woman, and other ancient biblical laws do not always reflect modern standards of sexual consent.
4. Husbands Must Love Their Wives
Ephesians 5:25
"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it."
Marriage is presented as involving selfless love and responsibility, not permission for cruelty or exploitation.
5. Cruelty Within Marriage Is Rejected
Colossians 3:19
"Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them."
Husbands are explicitly instructed to love their wives rather than treat them harshly.
6. Women Deserve Honour
1 Peter 3:7
"Giving honour unto the wife [...] as being heirs together of the grace of life."
The passage recognises husbands and wives as sharing in God's grace, although its wider language reflects ancient assumptions about gender.
7. God Condemns Violence
Psalm 11:5
"The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth."
Violence and cruelty are condemned rather than celebrated.
8. Marriage Involves Mutual Responsibilities
1 Corinthians 7:3
"Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband."
Marriage involves reciprocal obligations. Neither partner should use these teachings to justify sexual coercion or disregard the other's consent.
9. God Requires Justice and Compassion
Micah 6:8
"What doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"
Justice, mercy and humility are fundamental biblical principles, incompatible with deliberately abusing or degrading another person.
Conclusion
The Bible provides substantial support for the belief that men and women possess equal human dignity and that rape, violence and cruelty violate God's principles of justice and love.
However, spiritual equality does not automatically mean that every biblical passage endorses identical gender roles. Different Christian traditions interpret those questions differently.
The central lesson running through these passages is that human beings should be treated with dignity, compassion, fairness and respect.
No one should use religion as an excuse to rape, abuse, humiliate or mistreat another human being.
This is a fascinating reminder that human beings have been shaping and managing natural environments for thousands of years. 🌳🔥
Indigenous communities possessed generations of practical knowledge about maintaining landscapes, including the careful use of controlled burning. Their removal didn't simply change who lived on the land; it disrupted ecological relationships that had developed over centuries.
What makes this research particularly important is the lesson it offers for modern conservation. Sometimes protecting nature isn't about removing human influence altogether, but understanding which forms of human stewardship help ecosystems thrive.
Ancient knowledge and modern science may have far more to teach each other than we realise. 🌍
One of the greatest pleasures of science fiction is its ability to explore the human condition from perspectives that ordinary life could never offer. 🚀📚 Time travel raises fascinating questions about love, fate and whether our choices can overcome circumstances, while an alien struggling to understand Earth's biology reminds us just how extraordinary life on our own planet really is.
The best science fiction doesn't simply imagine different worlds. It challenges our assumptions about existence, consciousness and what it means to be alive. Sometimes exploring the impossible is the most imaginative way of understanding reality. 🌌✨
