Each day, more Palestinians in Gaza are killed by the occupation. Each day, Civil Defense workers continue recovering the bodies of our martyrs buried beneath the rubble for three years. Denied closure, denied burial, denied a final good-bye for years - their families wait in agony.

Over 1,100 days of suffering. Over 1,100 days of killing. Every single day.

Today, October 17, the remains of 75 martyrs recovered from beneath the rubble in Gaza City’s Al-Daraj neighborhood were finally brought home to their families for one last farewell. Three years of waiting to bury their loved ones with dignity.

The Sameer Project team stood alongside the grieving families, distributing water and dates to those gathered to say goodbye.

Tomorrow, October 18, at 10am local time, the martyrs will be carried from Al-Daraj Sports Club to Sheikh Radwan Cemetery for burial.

Even after three years, families are still burying their dead. The grief has never stopped. Neither has the killing.

May God have mercy on our martyrs and grant their families patience and strength.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee’s family continues to operate a travel business offering US citizens trips to Israel while he serves as Washington’s chief diplomatic representative to the country, according to an investigation published by Zeteo.

Reporter Prem Thakker found that promotional materials and disclosures show the business, now operated by Huckabee’s son, continues to organize tours previously marketed as "The Israel Experience with Governor Mike Huckabee," offering participants opportunities to hear from senior Israeli officials.

The Washington Post reported in 2015 that the trips cost $5,250 per person, including airfare from New York, hotel accommodation and meals.

The report raises concerns about potential conflicts of interest while Huckabee is responsible for representing US interests and protecting US citizens in Israel.

A longtime supporter of Israel, Huckabee has denied the genocide in Gaza and rejected the characterization of Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory.
