@prince Sorry but… Mackenzie never met Prince or (in my opinion) has any right to be listed among these others who worked and performed alongside him. No shade on him as a singer and I’m sure he’s a nice guy but Prince alumni he is not.
@MrBusby4o8 1. Prince
2. MJ
3. Stevie Wonder
4. James Brown
5. Herbie Hancock
6. Tina Turner
7. Paul McCartney & Ringo Star
8. Frank Ocean
9. Kanye West
10. Eminem
@Jantar127 Cause it was a bit crap. I remember the day it came out dimming the lights and turning it up and being extremely disappointed. It felt like bland R&B crap and so far away from the excellence we were used to. However, I’ve grown to enjoy the album a lot more in recent years.
In one of the best halftime shows since Prince in 2007, Bad Bunny threw a killer party, broadened the definition of America, and made history in the process https://t.co/UYPVEMLW2b
@pitchfork I disagree whole heartedly with the 6.2 score and the previous comment. This is as much a copy of a copy as Prince and MJ sounding like James Brown, Sly and the family stone, Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. This album is a masterpiece in pop.
@soundmatters pressing of purple rain is awesome. Only thing I would have preferred was a glossy stoughton jacket on the record inside the box. Well done though, will look to getting another one on the future.
@LennyKravitz Can’t wait! Love this album. I bought it when I was going through a hard time with parents divorce and love the sound, direction and songwriting, can’t wait for the deluxe!
