🚨🎙️Zlatan Ibrahimović on Lionel Messi’s Equalizer (83’) vs Egypt
🗣️ “Messi… what did I tell you? From 0-2 down, the little magician waves his wand again. He picks up the ball, glides past bodies like they don’t exist, and delivers that finish — clinical, unstoppable, pure Messi. 2-2. Boom. The champion wakes up.
This is what greatness looks like. Argentina were on the ropes, Egypt were dancing, but one moment from Messi and the whole game flips. It means the title defence is alive, the World Cup is still theirs to win, and every team left in this tournament just felt a shiver down their spine. You can lead Messi 2-0, but you can never finish him. Zlatan respects it. When the king scores like that in the biggest moments… legends are born. The game is not over. It has only just begun.”
🚨🗣️🇪🇸 Luis de la Fuente on Mikel Merino.
"Around the 50th minute, I wanted to bring Mikel on. He looked at me, smiled, and said, 'Coach, not yet. I'm still studying their defenders. They'll switch off late.'
By the 85th minute, time was running out and we needed a goal. He nodded and said, 'Coach... it's time.' 5 minutes later... the stadium erupted."
White smoke is beginning to billow from Western Kenya.
During a press briefing today, following a strategy meeting held at the home of Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, Luhya leaders allied to Linda Mwananchi announced a political roadmap for Western Kenya ahead of the 2027 General Election.
As part of that roadmap, they announced that a new political party will soon be unveiled to carry the movement’s vision.
Governor Natembeya announced that the roadmap will begin with a major Linda Mwananchi rally in Trans Nzoia on 25th July, followed by the mother of all rallies in Bungoma County on 26th July, where Edwin Sifuna will be crowned the Luhya leader before being released to focus on his national campaign.
Further, Natembeya said he will thereafter lead political engagements across all 38 constituencies in Western Kenya in his capacity as the coordinator of the movement’s political activities in Sifuna’s Mulembe backyard.
The leaders present also declared Sifuna as their 2027 presidential candidate.
🚨Erling Haaland on the difference between playing with Rodri and Martin Ødegaard:
🗣️ Reporter:
“What’s the biggest difference between playing with Rodri and playing with Martin Ødegaard?”
🗣️ Erling Haaland:
“Rodri controls the game. Martin creates the game.
Rodri always knows where the next pass is before anyone else. Martin sees passes that nobody else even thinks about.
I asked Martin once how he always finds me without even looking. He just smiled.
Playing with him, you’d think he has eyes in the back of his head. The defenders probably think the same.
🚨 Gabriel Magalhães sends warning ahead of next season.
“Talking about next season isn’t really the priority right now because it’s the World Cup.
But trust me, when next season arrives, people will see what a real defence looks like.
William Saliba and I had a conversation immediately after the season ended about the standards we want to set. We agreed on one thing—we want to build a defence that is almost impossible to score against.
That’s the mentality we have. We always want to improve, and we want opponents to know that playing against Arsenal will never be easy.” 🔴⚪️🛡️

The media has disrespected Ødegaard since he was named Captain of Arsenal & Norway at the age of 21
He took Arsenal to our first Title in 22 years
He's taking Norway to the Last 8 of the World Cup. Show some Respect
🚨 💔 Football can break your heart... and heal it in the very next moment. ❤️
Brazil's World Cup dream came to an end after a 2-1 defeat to Norway. Erling Haaland's brace sealed a famous victory, Bruno Guimarães missed a crucial penalty, and Neymar's late spot-kick wasn't enough to save the Seleção.
The result also extended one of football's most remarkable records: Brazil have still never beaten Norway in five meetings (D2, L3). 🤯🇳🇴
But while Norway celebrated, Martin Ødegaard showed why he's a true captain. Instead of joining the celebrations immediately, he stayed behind to comfort his Arsenal teammates, Gabriel Magalhães and Martinelli, after the heartbreak of elimination.
For 90 minutes, they fought for different nations. At the final whistle, they were brothers again. ❤️🤍
🗣️ 💔 Trossard’s emotional message to Arsenal fans…
🗣️ “Arsenal will always feel like home to me. From the moment I arrived, this club embraced me, believed in me, and gave me some of the best moments of my career.
If it were entirely up to me, I’d stay here for many more years. Unfortunately, football isn’t always that simple, and sometimes decisions are made that are beyond a player’s control.
No matter what happens in the future, I’ll always be grateful to my teammates, the manager, the staff and especially the Arsenal supporters. You welcomed me as one of your own and I’ll never forget that.
Wherever life takes me next, Arsenal will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Rainbows appear at an angle of around 42 degrees, making 42 one of nature’s most fascinating numbers.
In computing, 42 is the ASCII code for the asterisk (*), the wildcard symbol that can stand in for almost anything.
Even in medicine, donated blood has a shelf life of 42 days, helping save countless lives.
But why 42?
Because, ladies and gentlemen, it’s been 42 days since Arsenal won the league title.
🚨 Giovani Lo Celso:
🗣️ When we got the free-kick, I immediately remembered the training sessions I had with Messi. I told myself, this is the perfect moment to pass the test.
I stepped back, took the shot, and applied the exact technique he taught me. The ball went in just like it does with him.
I saw him smiling from the bench, and that made me even happier.
🎙️Xavi Hernandez🇪🇸:
“When we were playing against Real Madrid in the 2008/2009 season at Camp Nou, we had scored a goal in the 83rd minute, but after that Real Madrid started looking for an equalizer, and I went to the coach and said to him, “Pep, what are we going to do? We have to bring in defenders and bring out attackers.” He said to me, “Messi is the solution.” I said to him, “How is Messi a striker and not a defender?” I thought that Messi would drop back to defend because he was fast, and Messi appeared talking to Guardiola, and four minutes later Messi scored the second goal in the 90th minute, and we decided the match. In the changing room, Guardiola said to me, “I can finish the match with goals, it is easier than defending, and Messi is with me. I have a secret weapon that I use in such situations.” Guardiola trusted Messi a lot and gave him confidence in himself and always encouraged him to bring out the best in him. I can say that Messi was really a talent, but with the arrival of Guardiola brought out the beast inside Messi and gave him the unlimited power that left Europe suffering for years and years, and this is the most powerful thing Guardiola has create in football."
It was always easy with Messi but Pep Guardiola was the one that started giving him the confidence in game. Messi will never forget Pep Guardiola and Pep Guardiola will never forget Messi. A match made in heaven 💯✍️
🥹🇦🇷 A wholesome moment in Argentina's press conference. Enrique Macaya Márquez has been at EVERY World Cup as a journalist since 1958. He's followed Argentina every step of the way. He's 91-years-old and asked Scaloni whether Messi would play against Jordan... the whole press conference stopped to applaud Enrique! ❤️🩹
Scaloni provided such an incredible answer to him: "Honestly, it's a PLEASURE to answer a question from you. You have covered 18 World Cups, it's incredible, I remember when I was playing for Argentina you were already a star in journalism and today you are even more so. If someone else asked me the question I'd surely dodge it, but because it's you I'll answer it. Messi will go to the bench tomorrow. I congratulate you, Enrique, and enjoy the World Cup. You are a true legend."
It's just incredible. The World Cup really produces such special moments. Enrique is truly an inspiration. 🎙️✨
🚨 Jamie Carragher Blasts Ronaldo After Uzbekistan Brace: "This Changes Nothing"
🗣️ "I've seen people acting like Ronaldo just scored a World Cup final winner against prime Germany. Let's calm down for a second.
Yes, he scored two goals. Fair enough. Strikers are supposed to score goals. But the reaction from some of his fans has been absolutely unbelievable. Social media is flooded with posts talking about 'greatness', 'legacy' and 'the GOAT debate being over' because he scored against Uzbekistan in a group-stage game.
This is exactly the problem. Context disappears whenever Ronaldo scores.
Meanwhile Messi came into the tournament and immediately scored a hat-trick in his first match and followed it up with a brace in the second. Five goals in two games. Yet somehow the conversation today is about Ronaldo finally opening his account against opposition that nobody expected Portugal to struggle against in the first place.
The standards are completely different.
When Messi scores five goals in two games, people say, 'That's Messi being Messi.' When Ronaldo scores a couple against a team ranked far below the elite nations, some fans start talking as if football history has been rewritten.
The GOAT debate was settled by performances on the biggest stages, against the biggest opponents, under the biggest pressure. That's where Messi separates himself. World Cup finals, Champions League finals, Copa América finals — those are the moments that define legends.
Messi has spent years making extraordinary performances look normal. Ronaldo fans have spent years turning ordinary moments into extraordinary celebrations.
Messi remains the benchmark. Messi remains the standard. And for me, Messi remains the greatest footballer the game has ever seen."
🚨Christian Mosquera on his £13M move to Arsenal.
🗣️"You don't need convincing to join Arsenal. It's one of the biggest clubs in the world and a dream for so many players.
When Mikel Arteta and Andrea first contacted me, I was surprised. Then Mikel called to explain the project and the future of the club. I told him, 'Boss, don't worry. I'm already an Arsenal player. Just get the deal done and I'll be on the first flight."
