@Jordan_Kamado@ScotRail Aye, i suspect partly that, and partly because we have no other option.
Without open competition, customer-service is no longer a business-driver and slips quite far down the list of priorities.
And few extra Β£10 fines coming in would be seen as no bad thing, I'm sure. π
@ScotRail Also, Ive just noticed this.
Surely, "provide the same if not a better customer experience" would be at least a basic requirement?
But it seems all of your customers will now need to carry out a repetitive function that was already automated.
Who signed off this project?
@AngusBMacNeil Swinney looking into the camera does nothing to change electoral commission or EMB regulations on how elections are run and won.
SNP can run their election with a one-line independence manifesto if they wish- their opponents will not be similarly compelled.
@HJB_News__ While this is clearly a huge of amount of taxpayer money that could have been spent elsewhere for good, we must not lose sight of how corrupt a justice system would be if only those with sufficient independent means could provide a legal defence.
@larabirdsnp It's been said already, but I'll say it again.
Scotland has had 3 FMs in 3 years and SNP has manoeuvred the next FM into Holyrood to begin making the 4th happen.
Posting this is insulting & implies little regard for communicating usefully with the people whom you represent.
@Keir_Starmer Who filmed this? How is the quality of recording so good?
Instead of body cam footage, do we have armed forces personnel whose job is to stage, light and frame stealth operations now? Do they do retakes? Is there a blooper reel?
@RespectfulMemes While lashing out can never be defended, it seems (assuming this is genuine) that someone was dealing with emotions too big for them to handle. What a shame, in 2026, it's still acceptable to devalue that because it was man.
We'll never eradicate sexism until we eradicate it all.
@TelferPaula Even if it was true that criticism is merely unionist grudgery, how impactive will Β£400k of state funding be? For context governments don't "donate" they "fund". As state funding this seems meagre. As an amount similar to that reported against Peter Murrell it seems disingenuous.
@Gillian_Mackay1 You mean a Scot Gov virtue signal that caused a timeous news cycle hasn't actually been delivered?
If this surprises you, I have a bridge (made up of laptops, bikes, school bags, abolished council tax, business reliefs, scottish enery company) to sell you.
@JohnSwinney Police Scotland has confirmed that no arrests were made in Ayr during this protest.
So, from this tweet, either John believes Police Scotland has not done its duty, or he believes lawful protesting is unacceptable.
What a world we live in today.
@GrahamGGrant@Douglas4Moray How does this relentless pantomime drive Scottish issues forward?
If any of us behaved or treated our colleagues like this at work we wouldn't last the week!
It's all the more galling when we know the members have healthy working relation/friendships when the camera is turned off
@ScotNational Then I expect a parliamentary enquiry would confirm this.
That outcome would dispel this media circus and allow an innocent ex FM and party leader to move on.
Seems a win-win.
@JohnSwinney Seems we intend not to let the governing party "off the hook" but we're not looking at Downing St.
Seems a parliamentary independence vote hasn't distracted the media as planned.
@Abouterf197543@marksandspencer@SexMattersOrg Given his role, he clearly doesn't control company policy, but is contractually obliged to be the face of it. Filming him and posting it is cheap and disrespectful bullying. Take the matter up with the decision-makers, not the people who are just trying to do their job.
