We are working with @DerbyCC to explore options to relocate @DerbyTheatre. As the city’s only university, we have a significant role to play in assuring its long-term cultural vibrancy and sustainability, and our involvement in this scheme reflects our commitment to this.
We are super excited in Year 5, to be able to say that some of the children have won the Peculiar Pets competition and are going to have their poems published in Peculiar Pets 2021 - Fantastic Beasts @YoungWritersCW ✏️📝.
This December, as 2020 draws to a close, why not try to do at least one thing every day to boost your wellbeing? Our trainers have put together a few ideas to get you started!

Being from the West Country, I experienced first hand the ridicule at University for my accent and in the wider world too. Affected my confidence for many years as a young man and the damage can be catastrophic to mental health. Please be kind. #MentalHealthMatters
A Guardian investigation has found evidence of students at some of the country’s leading universities being ridiculed over their accents and backgrounds, in some cases resulting in them leaving. #Careers#careerdevelopment#careerleaders https://t.co/titokJNiud
@iCeGS Same experience in the 90’s. I'm from the west country and was called a farmer who Drove A combine harvester. Grow up in Plymouth, so was shocked by the narrow views people had. I didn't leave but changed the way I spoke. 😔
I am incredibly proud that @DerbyUni has been named Higher Education Institution of the Year at the @NEONHE Awards 2020, we are grateful to all our partners in our city and region whose work through projects such as This is Derby and the Opportunity Area have led to this success.
Universities in the UK still might not be able to find a place for every eligible student despite the lifting of caps on numbers to accommodate a major U-turn on A-level grading. https://t.co/zBaJkdTReV #Careers#careerdevelopment#careerleaders
