Some great conversations this week regarding the #Bulwell Regeneration Scheme and how OVP can help in ensuring meaningful local input into the schemes delivery.
Meeting earlier with @AlexJJNorris regarding the Bulwell Town Centre regeneration scheme.
Challenge from me is securing a sustainable legacy from the investment that enhances the viability of the town centre, providing opportunities for local people and businesses.

@narindertweets@andreajenkyns Does the Mayor of the Combined Authority have the power to sack staff in other organisations such as Lincolnshire County Council and the other councils in the area?
Great to see this investment in Bulwell. One Vision Partnership will work with Council to try and ensure wider benefits are achieved and to link with our place, heritage and cultural aspirations

Finally completed the first draft of my response to National Planning Policy Framework (#nppf) consultation. Will finalise tomorrow.
Lots of good stuff in there, especially plan led stem, but major challenges in implementation including capacity and skills in #planning teams.
Provided some brief comments on the Bulwell Riverside and Market pu lic realm proposals.
Broadly supportive but question how the investment will be maintained; lack of clear vision for area; and how the works will help support local small business.

Quick visit to #Bulwell Riverside to see plans for public realm improvements for Bulwell Bogs, Market Place and Main Street.
Interesting proposals but appear to lack detail of how they facilitate the wider regeneration of the area.
My thoughts will be submitted over the weekend.
@themjcouk A policy to demonize local authorities and their staff rather than tackle real issues. Perhaps central government should be learning from local authorities given the efficiencies the sector has had to make over last 13 years (if not longer).
