I added my Mastodon link to my profile, but officially - I think I’m winding down this old handle and moving my HTTP status code humor fully to https://t.co/poXCAjBbgU

@bitandbang I’m not sure it’s my favorite. It was certainly overplayed. But “Let’s get it started” by Black Eyed Peas jumps out to me immediately. If only because it was basically the Detroit Pistons theme the year they won the championship, and I’m a fan of the team since childhood.
And then there’s large companies like Twitter, where it’s pretty clear the best teams are built more with trust and skill than documentation and process. And then a rhino with a hemorrhoid buys the place and gores every team lead that tries to protect their staff. Sorry, Twitter.
In small companies, you can get the name of a person that’s responsible for a thing, and talk to them about it.
In large companies, you spend significant time figuring out the path to that person, end when you find them, they rarely know how powerful they are.
I buzzed by the Detroit Lions subreddit. It’s complete gibberish.
Which makes sense. The Packers are not a good team this year, but Lions fans aren’t used to beating anybody, good or no. Let alone a division rival.
Great job, Lions.
