Frank Lampard’s first Premier League appearance was against Coventry. He was subbed on at the same time as Gordon Strachan, who was Coventry’s manager 25 years ago when they were relegated.
Congratulations to all at @Coventry_City to Frank Lampard, to owner and Chairman Doug King, to all the players who have been absolutely brilliant this season and most importantly to all the fans whose patience and passion has now been richly rewarded #PUSB
We are back!
Congrats to everyone @Coventry_City for being promoted back to the @premierleague
Super Frank and the boys will go down as City legends!!!

That’s for you, gaffer 🩵
No one will ever do more, to help an ailing club survive, reuniting a fanbase, daring to dream, giving hope when we had none, masterminding climb back from nowhere.
Your achievement, perhaps as much as anyone else’s. The greatest. #pusb@Coventry_City
What a brilliant , moving post match interview from Frank Lampard after Coventry City’s promotion. Paying tribute to some who are not regulars was typical and thoughtful. In my few exchanges with him, I always felt I was talking to a top human being. And I was right.
Congratulations to everyone involved with @Coventry_City it's been a rollercoaster the last 25 years but finally the fans got what they deserve for all the tough times they've been through ! 💪🏼 #Pusb
Fantastic to see my old club Coventry City promoted to the Premier League. I joined them 59 years ago in the days of Jimmy Hill, Noel Cantwell, George Curtis, Ernie Hunt, Maurice Setters, and so many great characters now long past. Coventry have been through some terrible times in recent decades and what a delight to see that if you never give up you get there in the end.
All the best to all those Coventry fans that stuck by them no matter what. Enjoy your night - you deserve it.
@The_Forty_Four The moments that football are all about. The moments that VAR would try and find some reason to rule out and kill the moment. SCRAP VAR!!!!!!
I love this advert.
Sir Bobby Robson and Graham Taylor wish good luck to the new England manager, Terry Venables in this 1994 Yellow Pages advert.
Sadly all 3 men are no longer with us.
TELLY GOLD: On Archie Gemmill’s birthday, a reminder of his appearance on “Phoenix from the Flames”.
Includes a hint of Trainspotting… and Ally MacLeod as a proboscis monkey.
