We had such a blast yesterday afternoon. A canter through the history of #jazz with a large and lovely crowd, hosted at the gorgeous @southernmalting in #Ware
‘Buy my book. It took ages to write!’ There are other good reasons, but humour and honesty in the author are a good place to start. Thanks for the invitation to the launch, @LeahBroad and I’m looking forward to reading the book 🙂

Wow. Just wow. A heartfelt thank you to all the players, singers and listeners who made last night so special. Our biggest Hitchin Jazz Jam yet. Here's to 2023 - see you on Jan 19th: https://t.co/DrGZfaKodf
I've directed the music for the carol service at @CCHitchin many times, and it's always lovely to hear the story again through the readings and music. Many thanks to the choir who turned up on the day and sang their socks off 🙂
@radioliq@Jazzfuel@MTHitchin Ah thanks for the mention. Next one is a week later than normal… Dec 22nd. Dave Keech guests on trombone. Should be a good one :)
The first fruits of some filming we did recently. Some classy #Bach for you, which incidentally can also be heard in our upcoming gig on Dec 2nd in #Stevenage: https://t.co/Efx0bcJDTR
We did it! Properly hard, but quite an experience. Here's the before, during (Tyne Bridge) and after... once I'd had some jelly beans and got off the floor. Still time to donate at https://t.co/7sHdBUQtd2 #greatnorthrun2022@allwecanuk
#HitchinJazzJam is kicking off the new season in style with fantastic guest vocalist #SarahEllenHughes. Head down to @MTHitchin next Thursday (15th) to play, sing or just listen. Music starts from 8.30. https://t.co/DrGZfaKodf
Today has been unexpectedly significant. My jazz quintet has been going under the name 'Kind of Blur'... 'cos it does songs from the charts in the style of the biggest-selling jazz album ever, #KindofBlue.
But until now, I had no actual Blur song in the setlist. Until now.
