@RichParkerLab The service was really popular when I used it yesterday evening. Given how long it has taken to open these stations when will there be decisions on where next to invest so we can get on with building on this progress.
@MartinSLewis@politico Allow parents to take children out of school for one week in the school year, to help them avoid the horrendous costs of holidaying outside of term time. Children learn important lessons from being able to holiday with their families and catching up is an important life lesson.
@montie@notanother1pod I don't think we necessarily need new departments. I think the problem is that a lot of the deep problems in our society can't be addressed by a single government department and require a much more holistic approach. It feels to me that policy making is very siloed.
@the_LTA can you fix the bookings for Wollescote Park, Stourbridge please. You've refurbished the courts beautifully but half the time your system doesn't work, depriving residents of an important community asset.
Sorry at news of Terry Davis’s death aged 86. He won a by election in Bromsgrove 1971 and was destined for high office. But Labour leftism in 1980s sent him to new career as leader of U.K. delegation on Council of Europe. When I joined CoE Terry elected SG, respected by all
Absolutely farce @UtilitaArenaBHM trying to get into @RestIsPolitics Live. We are amongst loads of guests told our barcodes don't exist or seats have been moved. Awful experience, has put me off seeing anything here again. Hope to get in to enjoy the show at some point.
@CllrTromans@TransportForWM I completely agree Andrew. I would love to use these but you can't really go anywhere on them. The ones by me are located at the junction of one of the towns busiest roads. I never see them used.
🏆 Last night we won Gold at the #Heist2024 Awards in Leeds. We won in the Best Low Budget (under £15K) category with our Enterprise Scolarship campaign. Thrilled to win this in my final weeks at Aston and to celebrate the great work of my team.
A brilliant entry which met clear objectives in non volume markets and reflected values around entrepeneurship and social impact. The Gold Award for #Heist2024 Best Low Budget Initiative (under 15k) sponsored by @HavasPeople goes to @AstonUniversity. 🎉 Huge congratulations.
It was amazing to be invited to hear from @Keir_Starmer on his visit to Halesowen this evening as part of the Labour manifesto launch. Proud to be part of @catecclesstour team, fighting for a Labour MP for Stourbridge.
Perfect day and perfect setting to launch my campaign in Stourbridge this morning 🌞🌹
We've spoken to 100s of people and handed out loads of posters now proudly on display in people's windows.
If you'd like a poster please let me know and we'll get one to you!

It was a pleasure to join @catecclesstour and fellow candidates in next week's local elections in welcoming @SimonFosterPCC to Stourbridge, and to hear the plans to open a new police hub in our town centre, which will be home to 60 community and response officers.
Great to meet up in Stourbridge, with local Labour candidates, including PPC @catecclesstour, to discuss my pledge to continue to rebuild community policing - by recruiting an additional 650 officers and my commitment to the new Stourbridge police base for 60 officers.

I was glad to be able to join Cllr Tromans in meeting Cllr Corfield and the Highways Officer yesterday to discuss pedestrian safety improvements at Oldswinford Cross.
Productive meeting with Highways lead Cllr Corfield and officers yesterday.
Plans are in progress to add a pedestrian phase to the Oldswinford Cross. These will be out for consultation soon.
I'll continue to work collaboratively with others to improve safety at the Cross.
