@TheKopHQ@LFC We need another 5 players to compete and I don’t think we’ll get close to that number. 3 is the bare minimum (Barcola + RB and CB). Going into this season with 1 fit senior CB and no real recognised RB (not having Frimpong there) would be criminal, but they just don’t learn!
@SkySportsNews Football isn’t FIFA’s to sell!
It belongs to the players, clubs, supporters and communities that built it!
FIFA’s its governing body, not its landlord. It should be protecting the game, not carving it up and selling it off!
@AnfieldIndex@BeyondTheKop97@roberts_katz The fact that we’re talking about Gomez being an option in 2026, let alone starter is crazy! At least one CB needed MINIMUM.
@TheKopHQ That’s ludicrous if true!! VVD is ageing and only has one year left, JJ is completely new to the league and still young and the same goes for Leoni (also recovering from serious injury). I love Gomez, but he just can’t stay fit. One new CB is the MINIMUM. Ideally two!
@stehoare Sorry, this article is nonsense. A carefully managed excuse for a season that’s been declining since the Newcastle final in 2025.
Diogo death was tragic and affected everyone, but we’ve looked physically weak, tactically lost and underprepared for over a year.
@AnfieldIndex New players, or even a new system, won’t fix the underlying issues: the training regime, or lack of it, the fact most of the squad are effectively part-time, and the fact the manager barely even lives in the country he works in.
