Ensuring that children with additional needs have access to a class place is a top priority for me.
I have written to all patron bodies this week asking them to review their admission policies for schools with special education classes.

@ncseirl @AsIAmIreland I suppose I just feel irritated that this is the answer to education for teachers ( two teachers not whole staff training) from the DES.
From what I understand training for literacy and numeracy is obligatory and fully paid by the DES, but DES cannot fund a whole school day for
Today is the 16th anniversary of when we said our final goodbyes to our beloved Paul.
We remember the beautiful soul that touched our lives in ways that words cannot capture.
This is one wound that time just cant heal.

We just had a horrendous experience in Dublin Airport
@Ryanair closed the doors to our flight in front of our face. People had walked through seconds earlier. We explained that we our four year old is autistic and needs to get on the plane last. Right as we were about to board he needed to pee. Then he lost his important flyer lanyard and we were looking for it. Staff didn’t care and kept repeating that it was closed. Nobody had even been allowed onto the plane at this stage and were all still queuing. We begged and pleaded to let us on. My poor son was having a meltdown because he was ready to get on the plane.
How can @Ryanair treat an autistic child with such a lack of understanding or empathy
The staff in @DublinAirport are all angels! They were AMAZING
