Following a string of scandals, personnel issues, and security failures, I am calling on the Secret Service to conduct an immediate audit of every single employee on its payroll.
If this agency does not root out the rot, our nation will suffer the consequences.

It’s been reported that Super Bowl Champ Sam Darnold got hit with a hefty “Jock Tax”
As TN leaders hope the Super Bowl comes to Nashville (announcement could come in ‘26), I asked Rep @WilliamLamberth about it
He says the lack of taxes should draw more big events: @FOXNashville

Tennessee Comptroller @JasonMumpower discusses HB 1516/SB 1592, which is under consideration in the 114th General Assembly. This bill provides a clear deadline for when cities and towns must pass a budget. @TML4Cities
.@NESpower’s lack of a strategic disaster relief plan, pro-tree canopy policy and being more concerned about a DEI contract renewal - all of which jeopardized public safety - requires executive management to be fired and the board to be replaced. In contrast, our rural electric cooperatives focused on the customer, was much more prepared, had more lineman and showed exactly how to work to effectively and efficiently to restore power. The General Assembly will explore every option available with the stance NES cannot stay the same. NES failed not some customers, but all. @freddieoconnell@VoteMarsha@mattmurphyshow@DanMandisShow@MichealLeahyp44
Leaders must own everything in their world. There is no one else to blame. Leaders must acknowledge mistakes...take ownership...and develop a plan to win.
@NESpower response to @VoteMarsha is child like blame-shift ("forecasts wrong," "safety protocols", “dog ate my homework”) instead of owning under-prep, ignored aid, and preventable suffering. @VoteMarsha knows true leaders own it all.
.@NESpower’s response to my letter is entirely insufficient. The company refused to take any accountability and is forcing Tennesseans to wait another week for full restoration of power.
This is unacceptable. Whoever is responsible for this breakdown should be fired.
(January 31, 2026 | 9:00 p.m. CT): The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) continues to encourage individuals whose homes were impacted by Winter Storm Fern to complete the Self-Reporting Damage Assessment Survey. This survey is a critical tool to help assess statewide impacts and gather information necessary to validate damages resulting from Winter Storm Fern.
For other updates regarding the response for Winter Storm Fern, watch today’s Director Brief or read our latest Flash Report: https://t.co/NS8K9HLouL
FYSA, to recall any Davidson at-large elected official:
1. File notice of intent w/ Metro Clerk.
2. Collect~70k signatures (15% registered voters) in JUST 30 DAYS.
3. Submit petition for verification.
4. If valid→recall election
By failing to properly prepare for Winter Storm Fern, @NESpower put Tennesseans in harm’s way.
NES owes its customers transparency, accountability, and a clear explanation for why thousands of people remain without power. I’m demanding answers to ensure this can’t happen again.
This morning, I joined @FoxandFriends live from TEMA to give an update on TN winter weather conditions.
We urge all Tennesseans to check on their neighbors, check @myTDOT for road updates, & follow @TennesseeEMA for information on warming centers & more.
If your power has gone out, please stay indoors, bundle up, and keep your refrigerator closed.
Thousands of men and women are working around the clock to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
