@OldBull58322044@yannispappas Nonsense. Why would Canadians want to live shorter life spans, live under more violence, suffer worse education and worse healthcare access?
No thanks. Worry about your own country not trying to steal other peoples land.
@yannispappas The US has conducted regime change operations and coups against 1/4 of the countries that qualified for the World Cup.
Please don’t comment on history until you exercise the due diligence to learn about it,
@colinpriestner Their country is better resourced for promoting fitness, they have better organized athletics throughout society and are better able to develop individual talents.
The most stunning controversy of the World Cup erupted after it emerged that President Trump personally intervened to have U.S. striker Folarin Balogun reinstated for the team’s game against Belgium following his red card in the previous round. https://t.co/xLXMJFOBxy
@aqshipley Yes - but fairly - NOT when a corrupt host countries President is clearly putting his finger on the scales to unfairly disadvantage other countries.
@shellsandroses1 Yeah it’s a lot worse than what you claim, the US threatened to annex Canada, threatened to annex allied territory, started a trade war to force annexation and disgracefully insulted our soldiers that fought and died defending the US,
🚨JUST IN: Wayne Rooney on Balogun's suspended red card:
"It's an absolute disgrace. Infantino should be ashamed of this. The sportsmanship of the game is in question here."
The “sportsmanlike” thing to do btw, since you all seem to care about that so much after Paraguay - France, is for Balogun to refuse to play, own his red card and not accept undue advantages from the US President
Good morning, Asia. While you were sleeping, one of our most-read stories was about the decision to waive Folarin Balogun’s ban — a move described by the Belgian football association as a ‘direct contradiction’ of the World Cup rule book. https://t.co/Fyj3XnhMT9
@bavedikian Translation: the US will gaslight you into believing they are victims when really they have to lie and use corruption to cheat a little to get the advantage.
@WadePlem 1) Two wrongs don’t make a right.
2) Ballogun’s offence was even worse.
3) The US government interfering to overturn the card is corruption, plain and simple. It violates the rules.
4) The USMNT should be suspended according to the rules.
