On this day in 1937, Marie Prevost died.
Born in Sarnia in 1896, she was one of Hollywood's biggest silent film era stars. Her career slowed down in the 1920s and she died penniless. Her death led to the creation of the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital.
