@Nuel006 No he’s not the worst one. It’s not a binary decision. Baleba brings qualities to the table, which combined with the midfielders we already have may make us greater than the sum of their parts. The same applies for Kone or Berge or whoever we are looking at

@Mish_clinton @Nuel006 Why is Kone “a statement” but Baleba is not? I would suggest availability is a high concern with Kone, especially the type of injuries he’s been getting repeatedly. Baleba has shown he can handle the PL so it’s not a black and white decision

@CharZiyanah Agreed. It’s not a sustainable solution but I don’t see it changing anytime soon. The goal is the huge revenue streams the new stadium will generate so I think we are cutting our cloth accordingly to see us through the next 5 years

Maybe the squad dynamics changed, maybe he was asked to do different things, maybe he had personal problems. The point is, form is temporary class is permanent and I have seen enough of the lad to know he will come good.

@markgoldbridge @UnitedStandMUFC @David_Ornstein Mark, every young player can have dips in form. Anderson who you were championing, was very mediocre at Newcastle for 2 seasons, and didn’t blossom until Forest. Baleba is an excellent prospect, who needs the right environment to blossom too.

@CharZiyanah Maybe not, but if they are capable of contributing then it may be that a 50-60m outlay is not required. Remember Dorgu, Dalot and Nous can all cover there too and money is carefully invested. That’s the decision they will weigh up.
