In February 2007, Andrew Mwenda @AndrewMwenda resigned from Monitor and KFM due to editorial interference with free journalism, including freedom to criticise Mr Museveni and his family. Here are some excerpts from his awesome resignation letter:
Nearly 10,000 Palestinian detainees are held in Israeli prisons—most without trial—including hundreds of children, doctors, and academics. They are subjected to the most brutal forms of torture, and no one in the world speaks about them.
Be their voice.
Jailed opposition politician Dr. Kizza Besigye has launched a scathing attack against the State, accusing authorities of deliberately sabotaging his defense by hunting down his legal team.

The entire world is talking about @mkainerugaba. He is a master at this! What he has done has been done before, by the way! In the US, people have lost jobs for making jokes about gays, the president, etc.
After 40 years and counting as President, @KagutaMuseveni should have been a little bit more gracious to Ugandans for having tolerated him this "wrong" never mind how terrible he has been for the job. But how does he pay us in return; he unleash his unhinged son @mkainerugaba to humiliate us and our country. He allows him to break the law to assuage his fat ego. As serving military officer, he freely engages in politics, appoints Speakers of Parliament, appoints his supervisors [read Minister of Defense] as his assistants in an illegal political entity. In Muhoozi, Museveni exemplifies his failure as President. Muhoozi represents everything that Museveni lied to our parents that he was fighting against!
Editorial: Lukwago’s arrest puts rule of law on trial
How can police profess ignorance while the country’s top military officer appears to celebrate the detention online? Those questions go beyond politics. They go to the credibility of the state itself
