Many people don't fully harness the power of words and allow their "mental airspace" to be hijacked often unconsciously. Click below for a 2 minute read on this and practical action you can take to harness the performance power of words!

Often, our ability to be uncomfortable hinders behaviour that deep down we desire and need to bring about desired outcomes. A change of even 1 degree (ie embracing a little discomfort) can radically transform not only your destination but your experience of the journey itself.
A compass wa a key tool to navigate our rowing boat across the Atlantic. Knowing your principles & what you stand for both as an individual or a team is equally as powerful. Coming up with them is the easy bit, living them consistency is where the work is and the magic happens!
The story of Hind Rajab in this video broke my heart. I felt compelled to act. My Dec 24 hour physical challenge is my response to help. If this 2 minute video moves you, please consider making a donation. Thank you.

Resilience is something we all need from time to time in our lives. Here's a short piece on the importance of moving beyond resilience and why resilience on its own is only part of the picture when it comes to the mind game! -

Sometimes we need to dig in and grunt it out. It's not easy. In fact its brutal at times. But these moments reveal our character and show us how bad we really want something. Mental Fitness & Agility is a never ending work in progress and a privilege to continuously work on.
Great piece here by @PaulKimmage in the Sunday Independent today - a real unsung hero.....@PaulKimmage Tom Crean came to mind for me too as I was reading your article. He might not have been Tom Crean but cut from the same character cloth I would guess.

Taken in Franklin Bay in the Canadian Arctic after we crossed it in our rowing boat. In the preceding 24 hrs, our boat was nearly crushed by ice and we had 2 very lucky escapes. Risk is part of life. If we don't reach for what we want, we will never know what we could have!
Talent like that of @usainbolt is often thought of as an innate gift or ability we are born with. Talent without hard work flushes out as unfulfilled potential. Highly recommend "I am Bolt" on Netflix. A great insight into a talent we all have - the ability to work hard!!
An insight recently highlighted to me by @frankwolf1 - "something must be lost for something to be gained".With limited time to chase the rainbows that matter to us,a question to consider-what are you currently willing to lose in order to gain something of real importance to you?
Absolutely brilliant piece here by @bernardjackman on so many levels...thank you ๐
Rugby is a tight-knit community and rarely is this shown more than when it loses one of its own like Tom Tierney

Learned so much from this experience and since this experience, about the power of the human mind. For me, this will be a learning path for life!

โIf somebody could only observe your actions and not your words, what picture would your actions paint about how you are showing up, living & performing?โ Being conscious of this simple question each day, can significantly impact choice quality & outcomes you get!
When the tide is out, my son loves to play on the beach. Living in greater sync with both mother nature & my own natural circadian rhythm, I'm noticing better energy, sharper focus & more ease in my mood. How could you factor more of yours & nature's natural cycles into your day?
Mother Nature is a great teacher. This image (mid Atlantic) reminds me of a key lesson she gave me. If you tell yourself you can't do something, you're right, if you tell yourself you can do something, you will find a way to make it happen. Our words matter, choose carefully!
Here's a short article about tapping into more of your magic that I hope is helpful as you embark on the new adventure of 2023!

I've often been asked why I've taken on the different adventure trips I've done over the past 20 yrs. Lovely chat here with my mate and @BelowthelineIRL colleague David Duggan about this and more from our Mont Blanc climbing experience this summer.

Two weeks ago today, myself and 5 team mates were pushing beyond these clouds to Summit Mont Blanc in the Alps. A reminder for me personally to keep nudging towards important summits in life in whatever form they take...
