The recently assented Nigeria Startup Act gives some regulatory framework to the tech startup ecosystem in Nigeria. I've found some provisions interesting and I will share my thoughts. Most importantly it defines what a startup is and you will require to meet some qualifications.

What I see is not a city that is broken.

Broken things stop functioning.

Lagos functions. Millions of people move, trade, build, sell, negotiate, and dream every day.

What I see is a city that has lost the ability to be embarrassed.

… maybe that is why Lagos calls itself the Centre of Excellence.

Because if excellence were visible in its roads, its public spaces, its drainage, its transport systems, and its sanitation, the city would not need to remind us.

It would simply be obvious.
