God’s ultimate aim for His people is joy. His anger is momentary, but His favour never ends.

“Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5)

Joy is His destination for us!

In Matthew 4:1-11, both Satan and Jesus say, ‘It is written.’

The difference?

Satan twists Scripture, Jesus applies it with truth.

Context matters - knowing the Bible isn’t enough; understanding it changes everything.

The Father is “well pleased” with His Son (Matt. 3:17).

In Christ, we’re clothed in His righteousness and made “accepted in the Beloved” (Eph. 1:6)—so the Father is well pleased with us too.

The irony of Psalm 2:3:

Humanity rebels, declaring, ‘Let us break His chains!’—rejecting the very One who offers true freedom.

Yet the Psalm ends with this invitation: ‘Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.’

The chains we fear are the arms that save.
