@jiggerypokery80@ailbeoreilly Well I sat down and watched a match between Midleton and Newcestown today from a county I am not from. Very exciting finish to it. I doubt I am the only one.
@jamesfahey15 There are a load of comedians I don't find funny, so I don't watch them, Problem solved. But other people do and they pay money to go and see them, which is their choice and more power to them. The two Johnny's sell out every venue they go to, so what is the issue?
@BurnszyBhoy @adstack68 I sat in a pub in Newtownabbey shouting on Ireland against England in the last 6 nation's beside DUP voting unionists who were also shouting on Ireland. They loved the Ulster team and the Irish team.
@sinead_ryan Scotland sing 'O flower of Scotland' which is not a national anthem and Wales sing 'Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau', which is also not an official national anthem. So we are not the only country to do this. Though Wales have been singing theirs since 1905.
@sinead_ryan I love Amhran na bhfiann and sing it with gusto whenever it is played, not as big a fan of Ireland's call but fully understand the reason for it. You ask why our national anthem is played at some games and not at others, it is only played at home games.

@jennytyrrell31@MrJerryNolan@Editorialz@_SomeDad Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews have covered this many times in interviews that it was never offered to RTE and that it was always going to be a channel 4 and hat trick production.
