One of our pod hosts @WritesNicola has guest contributed to @rockshotmaga's Albums of the Year 2022. Three of these albums were discussed on @pauseplayfwd this year... can you guess which ones? What would be on your #albumsoftheyear2022 list?
One of our hosts, @nicolagreenbrook, was recently asked to be a guest on the excellent podcast @pickadisc
Matt sits down with a guest to chat about an album of their choice; you may be surprised to know Nicola picked a @foofighters album (😂) - 1997's The Colour and The Shape!
Matt also very kindly shouted out to Pause and Play it Forward and that he enjoys listening to it 😊
Search for Pick A Disc wherever you listen to your podcasts to check out the episode.
Thanks for having us, Matt!

Huge thank you to Matt for inviting @WritesNicola to be a guest on his fantastic podcast! An honour to talk about @foofighters and how their music has been the soundtrack to so many important events in her life.
Look forward to hearing it in full

Hello! It's @WritesNicola
I wanted to shine a light on Season 2, Episode 19's Top Five theme which was... light! Think flashing lights, spotlights and leaving the (big) light on.
💡 💡💡💡💡💡
This track kicks off their 2004 album Rubber Factory with pure swag. “You know what the sun's all about, when the lights go out". 🔥🔥
All the tracks in our bright-light Top Five and any notable mentions are on S2, Ep19's Spotify playlist (Link in bio ⬆️)
My favourites are brutal, traitor, de ja vu and happier. If you have the chance, check out Olivia's recent performance with Billy Joel. Do you love this album, too? What's your favourite tracks? Love, Nicola xx
Hey, it's @WritesNicola
For Season 2, Episode 19 of PAPIF, I asked @RosieKendrick to listen to @oliviarodrigo’s SOUR (2021) for Music Club.
It had been hanging around on my to-listen list for ages, and I loved her performance at Glastonbury - especially with #lilyallen
It's a genre-hopping journey full of pop-punk, alt-rock and ballads about adolescence, romance, heartbreak, jealousy, social media and more. Wrongly, I thought I'd be too old to listen to it... but it blew me away. It's beautiful - I feel the spirit of Alanis M in every track ❤️.
It's very likely our music memories and interests match yours. So please, pull up a chair or pop in your headphones and join in the chat. All the songs we talk about can be found on the Spotify playlist - link in bio ⬆️
Let us know what you think! Love, Nicola and Rosie ⏸▶️⏩
A warm welcome to S2, Ep 19 of our music podcast from your hosts, @WritesNicola and @RosieKendrick. Lovely to have you with us! For Music Club this week we sang our hearts out to @oliviarodrigo’s Sour and dived into, arguably, the best album Beck has ever made, Sea Change.
Two corkers this episode. Our Top Five theme was Light - think flashing lights, spotlights and leaving the (big) light on!
The final five and overall playlist shone bright, with tracks from @maggierogers, @theweeknd and @GratefulDead to name just a few.
