All Religions Are Not the Same" – Anand Ranganathan on Kashmir, Assam & Demographic Shifts in India
Anand Ranganathan discussed the issue of religious demographics and argued that the central concern is not simply whether a community constitutes a majority or minority, but the worldview that accompanies that demographic shift.
As always, keen as a honed blade.

What just happened?
The S&P 500 just erased nearly -$2 TRILLION of market cap just hours after 3rd strongest US jobs report in 18 months.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin is officially down over -50% from its record high in October 2025.
What's happening? Let us explain.
(a thread)
Having been born in a Catholic family I was taught Jesus is the living God and Hindu gods are all mythical. Later Islamic friends told me Islam is the only true religion. To my utter dismay I discovered Jesus is a mythical figure and Islamic God, Allah an invention of Mohammed. Whereas Hinduism is eternal without beginning or end. Its Godhead is one with the universe itself. This is more scientific than the other two in all respects.
THIS GUY LIVES UNDER SFO'S TAKEOFF PATH SO HE BUILT A CEILING PROJECTOR THAT TRACKS EVERY PLANE FLYING OVER HIS HOUSE IN REAL TIME
he uses a cheap $30 radio receiver to pick up the signals that planes broadcast while flying.
then projects them onto his ceiling in real time
when a jet flies over his house you hear it outside and at the exact same moment a plane glides across his ceiling labeled with the airline, aircraft type, and destination
pure black background so the projector's rectangle disappears and only the aircraft are visible
but he didn't stop at planes
it also draws the real sky behind them. sun, moon, bright stars, constellations, and live satellites including the ISS. all at their true positions for his exact location and time in real time
so he's lying in bed watching the actual night sky projected onto his ceiling with real planes crossing through it as they take off from SFO
there is a huge market for every man alive that runs outside to see the helicopter
vibe coded the whole thing himself with a cheap radio, a projector, and some clever software
Google which is cash surplus, just announced an additional capital raise of $80 bn.
Google annual profit is $160 bn, last quarter $62 bn, and market cap $4.5 trillion. That is close to total profits and market cap of all Indian listed companies put together.
It’s a wake up call to all companies to invest into the future, whatever the present maybe.
Now that IPL is done and dusted, time for India to focus on business of business.
"Where would you say the cutoff of New Jersey is?"
"[Jalen Brunson] says there's no Central Jersey."
"I feel it's only North and South."
"North and South? He was born in New Brunswick!"
A good ol' Jersey conversation at NBA All-Star Media Day 2026 😅
Michael Pollan quit caffeine for 3 months… and it broke his brain.
He couldn’t focus, felt like he had sudden ADD, couldn’t write, and said there was a “veil between him and reality.” He wasn’t himself, because his normal self was caffeinated.
The first cup back after 3 months? Pure euphoria, waves of wellbeing, then hyper-productive meth-like cleaning, unsubscribing from emails, and organizing his closet. He realized daily use kills the magic, so he tried limiting it to Saturdays only.
This story is wild because it shows how normalized our dependence is. We don’t even realize caffeine is shaping our baseline personality until we step away.
In a world running on endless coffee and stimulation, understanding our relationship with caffeine might be one of the simplest ways to reclaim clarity, sleep, and real energy.
Have you ever quit caffeine (or tried)? What surprised you most?
@NayakSatya_SG Just because someone else is doing something doesn't mean we should. Have you ever tried bottle coconut water? Gross. And the additional packaging trash generated with bottling and shipping? Let's enjoy it ourselves. Nothing wrong in it.
@Navayan This is like saying, in order to go from point A to point B, you have to travel half the distance, then half the remaining distance, and so on. So you will never actually reach point B.
My main takeaway from reading the Space X IPO filing:
Elon Musk's 5-step algorithm is deceptively simple — and the sequence is everything.
1. Make requirements less dumb
2. Delete aggressively
3. Simplify & optimize
4. Accelerate cycle time
5. Automate — last
The mistake most organizations make? Starting at step 5.
Automate what shouldn't exist, and you just get faster at the wrong thing.
Idiocracy (2006) gets funnier every year. Fox had no idea how to market it and barely released the film, which accidentally made its satire hit even harder. A comedy that aged into prophecy.
Déjame llamar a mi hijo; él entrena delfines. Él sabrá qué hacer.
—¿DELFINES?
Yo entreno focas. Seals de la Marina. No delfines».
@flyingframeshyd Another mall? Inorbit, Sharath City, Nexus all within 5km radius. 10+ cineplexes within 5km. Is there still demand? Wish it could have been converted into Open Green Space...
