I’d say all of them but what makes it even more special is the family and loved ones gathering. Often, I am caught up with meetings at work or I am busy travelling due to work commitments and miss out on some family time.

But festivals bring us all together, where every member in the family joins in to pray, eat and celebrate with one another. Visiting our relatives and friends to distribute packets of yellu-bella, sakkare acchu, and sugarcane for Sankranti is like giving them a token of our love.

What makes festivals so special? Is it the plate full of tasty sweets and feasts? Is it waking up to a house full of flowers and decorations? Or is it the divine aura of pooja and prayers?
