@karrisaarinen is design "the production" or "the understanding" - based on which side of the fence you fall "design is dead" or "design is more important than ever"
Introducing Claude Opus 4.5: the best model in the world for coding, agents, and computer use.
Opus 4.5 is a step forward in what AI systems can do, and a preview of larger changes to how work gets done.
Is AI already impacting the job market?
A new paper from me, @erikbryn, and @RuyuChen at @DigEconLab digs into data from ADP.
We find some of the ***first large-scale evidence of employment declines for entry-level workers in AI-exposed jobs.***
A thread on our paper:
i vibe coded a little game called Coldplay Canoodlers
you're the camera operator and you have to find the CEO and HR lady canoodling

Yesterday we continued our thematic AI deep dives with MCP Part 2 - we were lucky to be joined by @dsp_ Benoit Dubief, Olivier Chafik, Paul Carleton from @AnthropicAI. We were also joined by builders from @elevenlabs, @Google, @Microsoft, @Shopify and more.
Building on last time's discussion, we managed to cover even more ground!
- Security was the biggest topic of discussion, followed by authorisation. Tool Poisoning is a real threat - it's best to treat MCP like classic software supply chains
- MCP uses OAuth 2.1, which has fundamental challenges. Just-in-Time authorization works, but needs predictive scope mapping and better client-side permission management.
- Registry/Marketplace: Public registry will face same supply chain problems as npm. Vendors can get listed through Anthropic Partnerships.
There was a whole lot more, which would be far too long for this post.
Thanks to everyone who came - just tagging a few @mattzcarey@marlene_zw@tanmay_jain_@pavirp
it's 2030, your agent just bought tomorrowland tickets whilst you were sleeping.
agents are progressing from discovery to action + payments
there are 4 types of buyers: AI clients, browsers, consumer, business agents
the stack is evolving fast:
-- links
-- embedded checkout
-- tokenised cards
-- virtual cards
--stablecoins
why? amazon's 1-click checkout boosted revenue 28% each click cut unlocks purchases
but there's new challenges:
- 2fa, pci compliance for agents
- spending rules
- fraud and chargebacks
- tax, jurisdictions, merchants of record
agent payments are coming - read more 🔗
