MEET 40 YO SHARMILA DHANKAR 🇮🇳

Shr was born into poverty. Her mother was blind, her father was a farmer, and she contracted polio at the age of two.

At just 19, Sharmila was trapped in an abusive marriage. One night, she was beaten from 11 PM to 3 AM and thrown out of her home with her two daughters.

She never went back!

At 34, she took up para athletics. Her family even sold their house to support her dream.

Today, Sharmila Dhankar is India's first-ever Commonwealth Games Para Athletics Gold Medallist, ending a 20-year wait for an Indian para athletics medal at the CWG🥇

Every year, thousands of men disappear.

Not from war.

Not from natural disasters.

Not from terrorism.

They disappear inside their own homes, their own marriages, their own lives.

According to NCRB, 83,713 married men d!ed by su!cide in 2022.

That is more than double the number of married women.

Yet when a husband breaks down, society tells him to be stronger.

When a father is drowning, society tells him to be silent.

When a man says he is suffering, society tells him to man up.

And when he finally gives up, he becomes a statistic.

The tragedy is not that these men d!ed.

The tragedy is how normal their de@ths have become.

NCRB tells us how many men are gone.

It does not tell us how many were fighting false allegations.

It does not tell us how many were trapped in endless matrimonial litigation.

It does not tell us how many lost access to their children.

It does not tell us how many were carrying burdens nobody around them could see.

Those stories never make it into the report.

The country counts the bodies.

Nobody counts the suffering.

83,713 husbands are gone.

The question is not whether there is a crisis.

The question is why so many people still refuse to see it.

A society that tells men to stay strong should also ask what that strength is costing them.

Men account for nearly 72% of suicides in India, yet their pain rarely becomes part of the public conversation. We talk about protecting men as providers, fathers, husbands, and sons, but rarely talk about protecting their mental health, their dignity, or their right to be heard.

Many men are fighting battles that nobody sees—family disputes, custody battles, false allegations, financial pressure, loneliness, and years of exhausting litigation. Most suffer quietly because society has taught them that asking for help is weakness.

The question is not whether men are suffering.

The question is why so many people still pretend they are not.

Real Men. Real Struggles. Often Seen. Rarely Heard.

🚨 The preparation behind JEE Advanced AIR 1 holder Shubham.

Shubham didn't follow extreme study schedules. He slept at 10:30 pm, woke up at 6:30 am, ate simple meals, avoided social media, and focused on consistency.

He even avoided becoming dependent on air conditioning so that exam-day conditions would never affect his performance.

But his life wasn't all about studies. Every evening, he played badminton with his friend Kabeer Chhillar in their Kota hostel.

The result? Shubham secured AIR 1 with 320/360, while Kabeer secured AIR 2 with 319/360, just one mark apart.

AIR 1 and AIR 2 stayed in same hostel.

A reminder that discipline, balance, and consistency often beat extremes.
