I politely asked the hostess what the woman had done differently to get seated, and the hostess alologized and said she had made a mistake.

Then a woman arrived alone, said she had a party of two, and was immediately seated!

I waited. Other parties arrived (in their entirety) and were seated. My guest was running late and I continued to wait.

Went to @piccoloforno for dinner Wednesday. Asked for a table for 2 but they wouldn't seat us unless the whole party was there. Fair enough.
