@sams_stars@plutheus@EJHALL10 I’ve participated, and I teach creative writing. I do know what I’m talking about. I just have come to a different opinion as to it’s value. Time would be better spent learning the craft, rather than rushing through a process that typically produces a bad first draft.
@TrulyAbnormal @eraserheadroom Maybe in Waco. Everywhere else, we say “you wanna Coke?” And the answer is often, “sure, gimme a Dr Pepper.” But most Texans don’t use “Dr Pepper” to mean “any soda.” Dr Pepper only refers to Dr Pepper. In Texas, Coke : soda as Xerox : photocopy.
I’ve been Duck Duck Go-ing instead of Googling for the past three months, and I have to say... it’s been fine. (DDG is anonymous Bing.) I’ve also quit using Google Docs in favor of a free MS Word/OneDrive acct. You don’t have to sell your soul to Google to be a writer. #amwriting
@RadioFreeTom It’s time we extended taxpayer supported education through college or technical school, instead of ending it at high school. It’s 2020, not 1920. You can’t have a decent career in America without post-secondary education/training.
Look who’s on Law & Order in 2008 as a lab tech pretending to be a doctor to pick up girls and when confronted SCREAMS ABOUT HOW TO HANDLE THE FREAKING RATS
@RichardERock1 “Karma” is selective observation. When a pedophile is assaulted in prison, we think “karma,” and when a kid gets leukemia, we think “oh how awful.”
@dofastingapp He’s gonna lose even more weight when a Russian mobster sees those unearned high ranking thief-stars and has them carved out of his flesh...
