This shot at the Yankees just doesn’t add up. The Yankees have plenty of long term contracts (Stanton, Cole, Judge, Fried) that are all big names and money. The Yankees have plenty of flaws in the team structure but I would not say spending money on long contracts is the downfall
The Dodgers paid Freddie Freeman $22.9M this season.
The Yankees acquired Ryan McMahon, who made $16M this season. Paul Goldschmidt made another $12.5M.
The Yankees’ reluctance to commit longterm money to true stars who have a better chance of performing in October has been Brian Cashman’s greatest downfall.
They end up adding multiple depth level pieces for the same money on shorter deals, spreading out the money instead of securing legitimate stars.
Watching the yanks hit plenty of balls hard and just be right at guys and the orioles not even getting balls to the infield dirt for hits sums up baseball beautifully
Getting an opposing hitter out on fan interference cause the home team’s fan reached over seems like a crazy rule that I’ve never heard before but definitely just helped the Yanks
If I have to listen to Reggie Miller and Kevin Harlan glaze the Knicks while the Celtics continue to shoot like football players I may quit watching basketball all together
Jalen Brunson is my least favorite player to watch in the NBA. I don’t even care who wins this series and I just don’t enjoy any basketball he is a part of
It’s a long season so he has time to turn it around, but if Devin Williams doesn’t, he will be known as possibly the worst Yankee ever cause he made them change a franchise hair policy for him just to suck
It’s already brutal that the Rays have to play at a spring training facility but to have the crowd be almost all Yankee fans while at “home” is just a nasty addition for them
