On the realist.
When anyone says “diet” you think “weight loss” because the only time you follow a diet is when you want to lose fat.
The health and fitness industry is always selling you the idea that health is just a “weight loss” program.
Are you struggling to lose weight?
No matter what adjustments you make to your health and fitness regimen, nothing is still coming off.
Metabolic adaption is a hormonal disorder involving the nervous system (brain), the endocrine system (thyroid, adrenals, and the sex hormones), and the immune system - all 3 organ systems are involved. In a typical case of metabolic adaption, you will find hormone imbalances.
Specifically:
Adrenal Fatigue and Low Cortisol levels
Low Thyroid levels
Low Testosterone
Imbalanced Progesterone to Estrogen Ratio
Low Leptin/Leptin Resistance – Low Leptin (the body fat locating hormone)
Immune System Overdrive
Metabolic adaption, or weight loss resistance, can occur in many different ways because of the your personal health history, or you can cause it to happen as well.
There are different ways metabolic adaption is created:
Irresponsible chronic dieting and/or exercising.
Always being on a diet and exercising frequently can create metabolic adaption if taken to the extreme (very low calorie/low carbohydrate diet, long duration cardio exercise)
Yo-yo dieting (diet to lose weight, gain weight back, diet again – repeat).
Undiagnosed/untreated metabolic or health condition that spreads. Metabolism is an intricate system of organs communicating with one another to do a job. If you have a problem in one area, it will affect other areas as well. An untreated thyroid condition will negatively affect all other systems and metabolism as a whole.
Metabolic adaptation can be healed. It's never too late

Now she’s eating over 2k cals and feeling better than ever plus losing weight and getting stronger as well as building muscle and working out less than she has before
But y’all still thinking calorie deficit and workout more is the answer
You got to be joking
Good sh*t takes time- I say it all the time
In life.
In business.
In physiques.
In relationships.
But it does matter what you do during that time. You are either growing or dying.

At the beginning of my fitness journey time was using me. I won't lie to you. I was spending all my time doing the wrong things.
I was not spending my time on things that mattered:
-Mindset
-Nutrition
-Discipline
-Consistency
-The right training
I threw that all out the door and would wake up with no plan on how I was gonna execute every day.
I had no adherence to anything, just free-balled it… I mean what else was I supposed to do?
Then I got a coach. To be honest it was a terrible coach. He just threw the kitchen sink at me and did things that weren’t tailored to my goals or vision. So I fired him. And then I said f*uck it and did it myself- And indeed I did.
Tons of information I devoured and to be honest countless hours of mental masturbation on things that did not matter at all. But after time and talking with my mentor/close friend day in and day out I saw the vision.
I was focusing on things that mattered to my goals and visions, I invested in the right resources to get where I wanted to go. And from there I've been able to make a change.
Now with the right tools in hand and education, I could've skipped all the wasted time from the start but it's been a lesson learned.
Now there's an opportunity I want to give to people who are in my shoes. Lost, don't know what to do, intimidated, plateaued, worried, scared, or whatever you can think of.
If you think you’re in a similar position shoot me a DM and I can get in touch with you. You don’t have to continue to spin your wheels.
A nutrition program should bring you physical results, but also teach you how to eat for future health and vitality
