There’s a narrative that any Newcastle fans criticising Eddie Howe are totally unreasonable. #NUFC are currently 14th in the league while Eddie is the 3rd highest spending manager with £403M net spend. Emery is at only £41M in a similar time frame - while Villa sit 16 points clear of Newcastle in 2nd🤯 (that’s less than 10.2% of Eddie’s spending) Glasner at Palace is in PROFIT and is only one point behind Eddie in total points won in 2025. Brighton & Everton are also one point behind Newcastle in 2025 with MUCH less spent! Some Newcastle fans speak like we are still owned by Mike Ashley and as if Eddie hasn’t been backed to deliver much better results than he’s delivered this season. Expecting better with £403m spent is perfectly reasonable when you look at what others are doing.
