The Project Behind Bars is an initiative by student volunteers of the University of the Philippines Visayas, in line with the NSTP-CWTS course.

Take a look at what's inside the care packages distributed at the Digos City Police Station custodial jail. All these supplies truly help the detainees survive their incarceration period and make them feel that they are being treated right.

Organizing a donation drive is no easy feat. Repacking the supplies into care packages may be laborious, but just a sip of this delicious milk tea from PeaceTea Artisan Milktea energized the volunteers and kept them going all night.

The Project BEHIND BARS aims to equip the community with basic knowledge and raise social awareness on basic human rights through an online campaign and extend support to detainees by donating supplies and other basic necessities.
