#PBFR is sending an engine and 5 team members as part of a Strike Team to north Florida today to assist in Hurricane #Idalia disaster response.
We are #PalmBayProud to assist in disaster response outside of our city and serve other communities within the state of Florida.
Members of @PBFR recently completed a training exercise called Swift Assisted Victim Extraction which combines law enforcement and fire personnel into a Rescue Task Force that can rapidly assess, treat, and extract critically wounded victims in an active shooter situation.

Fire completely blackened by PBFR crews. Salvage and Overhaul procedures are being completed. All occupants are safe and accounted for. No reported injuries. Please be mindful of Fire Dept. traffic in the area.
Update: Fire bought under control by the diligent efforts of PBFR Firefighters along with the matching efforts of BCFR and Malabar Fire crews.. While extinguishing the fire, crews also recovered pets from home. No injuries to residents or personnel.

PBFR crews on scene of a 3rd story apartment fire in the area of the 700 block of Wild Strawberry Ln NE. 3 burn victims (1 pediatric) assisted from the structure and being treated. Fire is under control.
